I'm Here Again!

Hey, twice in one week, that’s a record for me.

Sunshine and I finished watching the seventh and final season of Buffy this afternoon.  Joss Whedon is a god.  I hope someday I can write stories half as good as his.  Next week, we start Angel, and I have great hopes for that too.  For one thing, Spike comes back.  That, and Angel of course, is enough of a reason to watch five seasons as quickly as possible. 

I had a fantastic time watching the Buffy series.  I wish I would have watched it while it was on TV, but it was also great to go out and buy the next season instead of waiting from week to week. 

As far as my own writing, this week was a very slow week.  I think my biorhythms were out of wack or something.  I literally could not get anything started or finished all week.  Very frustrating.  I have managed to write 500 words so far today and I’m trying to take great comfort in that.  I cautiously optimistic that my little burn out, or whatever it was, is over and I trying to keep focused on my goal of getting the wip ready for the Golden Heart in November.  It’s going to be a lot of work, but I think I can do it. 

Okay, so this wasn’t all that painful.  I’m happy about writing here, I think.  So.

Nothing but good times ahead.

So, after much encouragement from my friends, I’m embarking on this blogging thing.  I’m going to start slow and see if I post and what I post, because God knows I could post some really off the wall crap and I might want to hide that later. 

Such is the pain of the writer — we want ALL drafts to be good drafts.

Sigh.

So, for right now, I’m just going to sit here in this hopefully empty room and figure this thing out.  Then, if I do good, maybe I’ll put up the .mac site I created.  Maybe.  We’ll see. 

Okay, blogging done for today.  Off to do the job that still pays the bills.

Getting Started
