Islands for Sale

Tax season, for all intents and purposes, is OVER.  O-V-E-R!  This year was a tough one, too.  Not sure why, but everything seemed to take forever to get finished.  There are still some hanging chads, but everyone who isn’t done is on extension and that Cranky Short Blonde is gone for another year!

Oh, and I promised my friend Joerg that I would pimp his island.  He is an avid participant in Second Life and he’s got two fully functioning up and running islands FOR SALE, that, incidentally, are making a PROFIT.  And I’m not talking about cyber-cash, but real live can spend it in stores CASH.  So go to eBay and search for “Ebersberg” and “Kreiss”.   Happy Bidding!

Which brings me to my newest story.  I’m VERY excited about this one.   No title yet, I’m just calling it “Cowboy and Sunshine” for now.  I’m having a blast with these characters.  Sunshine Waggner is a government agent on a revenge mission and Billy “Cowboy” Baker is a country music star who ends up in the middle of it.  (BTW, this Sunshine isn’t to be confused with my DD, Sunshine.)  Tax season was as always a total drag, but I was able to keep writing (Thanks Beki!) and I’m pretty pleased with my overall progress.  The story takes place on an island in the Caribbean (hey, I needed to think warm thoughts), which means there’s hot (get it? Island? Hot? I crack myself up.)  shirtless guys, sex on a boat, and a heroine who has to get creative about where to hide her gun. :-)

This is also the first book that I’ve had to do a lot of research on.  Having never been in the country music business or a government agent, I needed to do some research.  I’ve decided to call it “Method Writing” and I’m going to blog about it later this week.  I have, however, lived on an island, so I wasn’t able to figure out a way to get myself to warmer climes.  But, that was a long time ago, so maybe in a few weeks…..:-)  Method Writing, it’s the best thing I’ve ever thought of.

Okay, that’s all for now.  I’ve got characters bouncing around in my head and I need to go write down what they’re saying before they decide to go away!

So, to recap:  I’m back,  I’ll try to blog more, and go look at Joerg’s islands.  If I know him, they’re a blast!
